Tokenized Finance (ToFi) from a Comparative Law Perspective – Europe and beyond

The tokenization of assets is a cross-border phenomenon. The legal issues that tokenization entails and that are being investigated by the ZEVEDI project group Tokenized Finance (ToFi)» are thus always in the context of an increasing inter- or transnationalisation of trade in crypto assets. Comparative law research is necessary to grasp this perspective of tokenization. The accompanying fellowship programme will enable an exchange with the legal systems of the United States (primarily New York or California), Israel, Italy, Portugal, Singapore and Switzerland. The selection of target states is based on the ongoing legislative and academic activities in those countries. In addition, various legal systems within and outside Europe will be covered.
