Declaration

This declaration on accessibility applies to the website of Centre Responsible Digitality (ZEVEDI) which can be accessed via the homepage link https://zevedi.de.

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, ZEVEDI endeavours to make its websites accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Hessischen Behinderten-Gleichstellungsgesetztes (HessBGG) and the Hessischen Verordnung über barrierefreie Informationstechnik (HVBIT) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compliance with the requirements

The accessibility requirements result from §§ 3 (1) to (4) of the HVBIT, which was issued on the basis of §14 of the HessBGG. These websites are only partially compatible with the listed requirements.

Incompatibility with the HVBIT

The three contents listed below are currently not accessible for the following reasons:

Barrier 1:

  • Test step 1.2.1a: Audio files such as the podcast “Digitalgespräch” or the podcast “Digitalgelddickicht” are currently not accessible or only accessible to a limited extent for people with hearing impairments.
  • We are working on a fully-fledged media alternative in the form of a text file (transcription). Initially, the new podcast episodes will be made accessible within one month of publication, followed by all existing audio files.

Barrier 2:

  • Test steps 1.3.1a and 1.3.1d: HTML structural elements for headings and text structures were not used consistently. As a result, the hierarchical structure of the web pages is not clearly recognisable.
  • We are working on the technical requirements for a consistent heading hierarchy for all pages.

Barrier 3:

  • The readability of documents is not barrier-free.

In future, all new documents created by us will be accessible. The accessibility of third-party documents that are made available to us for publication on our websites cannot be guaranteed across the board.

Explanatory note

The concept for the design of this website of Centre Responsible Digitality (ZEVEDI) began before September 2022. Since then, we have made efforts within the available resources to implement and develop the website, taking into account fundamental aspects of accessible design.
