Who is authorised to access (research or health) data and how is this access regulated? How must the protection of subjective rights change, and are there alternatives to the subject-related protection concept? Which data access must be facilitated, and which must be more strictly controlled? Who bears responsibility for this? These questions affect society and science in equal measure – they were discussed intensively in the Data Access Rules» project group of the Centre Responsible Digitality (ZEVEDI).
The results of these debates are the contributions to an anthology of the same name soon to be published by Campus-Verlag. At the interdisciplinary symposium at the end of the project group, they will be commented on and discussed by external experts.
