The conference “Autonomie in Zeiten von Verantwortungsdiffusion durch Algorithmen” hosted by ZEVEDI project group Diffusion of Responsibility through Algorithms aims to examine normative and social problems with respect to autonomy as well as personal and institutional responsibility under the conditions of algorithm-based decision-making in the realms of state, economy and society. Based on two exemplary fields, phenomena of shifting and blurring responsibility as well as their consequences for individual autonomy will be analyzed and discussed from different perspectives – including panel discussions with participants from academia, civil society and NGOs.
