Interdisciplinary Conference
13 October 2023, 10:00 – 17:15 CEST
Universität Kassel
Access to data is a sensitive issue, legally, morally, socially. Who should have access to data, who should control this access? How can
sensitive personal data be protected from misuse? How can the public interest in the use of data be guaranteed? How can data access rules be designed effectively and responsibly? Such questions are very much on the political agenda, as data access is currently being re-regulated in different contexts, at national and European level, in different areas such as research and health.
The conference organised by the project group Data Access Rules will therefore address fundamental normative problems against the background of current legislative projects and critically discuss them from an interdisciplinary perspective. The focus will not only be on the content and structure of concrete regulatory proposals, but also on how the various projects systematically fit together and what need for discussion arises for the future.
Friday, 13 October 2023, 10:00 – 17:15 CEST
Please note: The conference will be held in German.
Registration until 9 October (see programme).
